Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is located adjacent to the ruins and enjoys a prime position within this UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

Getting to Machu Picchu

  • By train to Machu Picchu Town. Allow three and a half hours from Cuzco.  Train service is provided by PeruRail.        

  • By road to Ollantaytambo, then by train to Machu Picchu Town. Allow three hours.  Train service is provided by PeruRail. 

  • Once in Machu Picchu Town a regular bus service operates between Machu Picchu Town and the Inca ruins where Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge is located. Allow 20 minutes.  

  • Please note that there are no taxis from Machu Picchu Town to the Machu Picchu Citadel, the only form of transportation is on public buses.

  • By foot along the old Inca trail. Allow four or five days.
