Laurent Carrasset appointed General Manager  of  the Orient-Express Hotels, in Peru.

Orient-Express Hotels is delighted to announce the appointment of Laurent Carrasset as general manager of Orient-Express Hotels Peru.   

From his base in Lima, Laurent has overall responsibility for the management of the company’s three hotels in Peru – the Miraflores Park Hotel, the Hotel Monasterio in Cuzco and the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.   

It is a welcome return to Peru for Laurent and his family – he was previously financial controller of Orient-Express Hotels Peru before being promoted to general manager of the Hotel Monasterio in Cuzco. Laurent comes to Peru from Tahiti, where he has been general manager of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa since December 2003. 

Born in Lima, Peru, in 1972, Laurent travelled the world with his parents before attending the Ecole Hotelier Jean Drouant de Paris, graduating in 1993.  He went on to work at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London before joining Orient-Express Hotels in May 1998 as Assistant and then Financial Controller of the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort & Spa in French Polynesia.  Laurent is married with one son.
